Like any nonprofit organization that serves its community in many capacities, LAVA is no exception. In order to meet the urgent needs of the community, LAVA must be financially viable. The primary source of revenue for LAVA continues to be membership dues. As a result, it will require dedicated members of LAVA who not only embrace the vision of the organization, but who are also willing to financially support the Association through the regular payment of membership dues. LAVA is only where it is today financially because of the loyal support of a few members who were willing to move the organization forward with their time, talent(s) and financial support.
As LAVA embarks upon a new chapter in its history with a growing Liberian population in Richmond and surrounding cities, it is important that we share this same dedication.
Therefore, we're appealing to all Liberians and Friends of Liberia to formally register with the Association. We need and want all the help available to make LAVA a more vital association in the community. LAVA is open to contributions and donations from the public, especially those that have Liberia at heart.
